In early trading on Tuesday, shares of MMM topped the list of the day's best performing Dow Jones Industrial Average components, trading up 3.7%. Year to date, MMM registers a 4.6% gain.
And the worst performing Dow component thus far on the day is McDonald's, trading down 1.9%. McDonald's is lower by about 9.5% looking at the year to date performance.
Two other components making moves today are Caterpillar, trading down 1.2%, and Coca-Cola, trading up 1.1% on the day.
